Which institutions can help you?
Newcomers to Canada have access to government support that is there to help you to thrive and succeed. Depending on your visa status, you can learn English or French for free, receive financial aid for each child and a subsidy for daycare, get support in finding a job, and more. Additionally, non-governmental organizations walk you through the maze of benefits, and offer many events free of charge to assist immigrants in integrating into society. Among them are many Jewish organizations serving the Jewish community specifically.

Jewish organizations can help you too
The Lower Mainland Jewish community has many different organizations that provide an array of social services, educational, cultural, and recreational programs and services to both newcomers and long-term residents. In addition to these agencies, there are programs and services specifically designed for newcomers.
